What kind of equipment do you use?
I've used Canon kit for about 20 years now. Currently I have a 5D and a 1d MkIII and a selection of Canon and Sigma lenses. If you're interested in buying the 5D, drop me a mail!!
How much do you charge to take photos?
I don't make any money at all from my photography (this is my choice, not because I can't and that's not to say cutting it as a pro is easy!). I take pictures because I have a passion for what I do and it's something that makes me happy (just like being in a band did!). So, I take photos for cost, this means petrol costs to travel for promo shoots and gigs. Most London gigs would be free assuming the door price is not ott. The more interesting the project and exposure the less likely it'll cost you (and I can normally be bribed with CDs!)
I'm not in London, can you take photos of my band?
Sure, no problems to travel as long as you can cover my petrol expenses.
What were the names of the bands you were in!!?
Hmmm.....Active Conspiracy, Perjury, Leech, Pig Ignorance, Kthon....did a couple of shoestring tours of Germany, Italy and Poland. What a laugh!!

Can I use the pictures you take?
Sure, all I ask is that you give me a credit so that if anyone wants to they can track me down. I retain copyright but have no problems with this (clearly I want my pictures to be seen after all!!)

Yeah, right!! Send me your latest CD and tell everyone you know what a nice person I am!
Do you use flash for gig photos?
Sometimes....I'd always rather not but at some venues it's use flash or don't get any pictures. Flash used without control can render the images free of atmosphere or ambient light, I not keen on this tbh
If I want copies of the pictures, how can I get them?
If you just want pics for the web, myspace etc. I can mail over small 72dpi jpgs. If you want full sized pics for printing I may also take this approach but if there's a large number of pics I'll most likely put them on a CD or DVD and pop it in the post (you can have tiffs this way aswell).
