A little about me....
My name is Graham Hilling (although most people know me as Hillbill or Bill or just g). I was born in 1964 (yes, I am an antique), in West London and have not moved far since, living with my partner Deb and our two troublesome cats and and two equally troublesome rabbits! I've always felt compelled to be creative - this has manifested itself in many ways - making music, photography, art. None of my music on here but plenty of photos and a bit of art! These days I focus mostly on taking pictures at gigs, this in itself is a challenge! Completely different to a studio!
Prior to settling down I was in loads of punk and metal bands, did a couple of shoestring tours in Europe (great fun!). I then concentrated on solo stuff (with little success!). My music used to be on mp3.com but since this has shutdown I've moved some of it to myspace, although this account was deleted because I rarely logged in! To be honest, this has taken a back seat to the photography over the last few years. I still listen to my own stuff occasionally, I'm probably the only person who thinks it is any good!
I’m a vegan, too. If you’re interested in this lifestyle check out the vegan society website (www.vegansociety.com) to find out why this makes sense for you aswell as the planet!

We live in a very grey, dark world, trouble around every corner, it would be great if we could all just add a touch of colour - this is my attempt!
Remember, even concrete doesn’t last forever.......
Enjoy your visit!!

So, back to this site - on these pages are examples of my photography and my art. I hope you enjoy your visit, please feel free to comment - I’m always interested to hear what people think of my work.
The Concrete Shell, by the way comes from the idea that certainly in big cities everyone builds their own walls around themselves to keep the outside well and truly out. It would be nice if we could break these barriers, down and embrace our differences and all that make us unique (all old hippy stuff I know, but wouldn't it be cool.....).
